Location

Weyervlakte and Gruitroderbos are known as two of the most beautiful maps of Flanders, Belgium.

Typical are the sand dunes, small relief and pine woods.

Both maps are used in JWOC 1997 and in JEC 2014.

Ultimate Orienteering

We provide 2 courses for the true orienteering enthusiasts (oro-hydro) on these beautiful maps with small relief.
The ultimate orienteering experience!

What’s “oro-hydro“?
Only brown (oro) and blue (hydro) features will be printed on the orienteering map.

Classes

On normal IOF maps, for Men and Women:

-10, -10B (accompanied), -12, -14, -16, -18, -20, 21, 21E (Elite), 35, 40, 45, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90
Prices for the 3 best participants per class

Categories can be combined in case of insufficient participants
Free starting time for M/W-10 and M/W -10B. Accompanist of W/M-10B will run their own race first.

Ultimate (Oro-Hydro):

All payments should be done in Euro. Exchange fees should be payed by the participant.
Date of payment is decisive for the corresponding period.
Annulation, with refund of the registration fee (except from bank charges) is possible until Augusth 8th.
For the renting of the SI card, a deposit of either 50€ or a valid passport or driving license will be asked on place.

Accomodation

A lot of campsites, hotels, bed-breakfasts and vacation homes are available in the larger region.

Due to Pukkelpop, a famous festival with more than 65.000 visitors, taking place in Kiewit-Hasselt during the same weekend, it can be difficult and more expensive to find accomodation to stay overnight. Don't wait too long, to make a reservation for your place to stay.

Campers and caravans can stay for free at the competition parking lot in Oudsbergen (Zavelstraat) from Friday, August 21, after 11 a.m., until Sunday, August 23, at 4 p.m.
Important: No additional services are offered (electricity/showers/etc.).

overnight accomodation can be more difficult to find due to Pukkelpop, a big music festival taking place in the same weekend.
